Self Help for Abuse Table of Contents

The pages listed below will help you to understand abuse. We are constantly adding new content, articles, resources, and self help tools to help you overcome this terrible problem or to better understand how to help a friend or a family member who may suffer from abuse.

While much good can come from self help resources, like those listed below, many times it can be helpful to talk to a trained professional. Axis-One has counseling available in one of our 3 offices if you're in the Utah or Idaho area and licensed counselors who can also talk to you privately on the phone, through email, or via online chat.

Abuse Defined will give you a basic understanding of abuse.

Abuse FAQs will answer some common questions about abuse.

Our free personal abuse assessment can help you quickly determine if you may be suffering from anxiety. You can also invite a friend or family member to take this assessment.

The articles on abuse page includes:

How to Report Suspected Child Abuse or Neglect
Fighting Fairly
Domestic Violence Statistics and Help for Those Who are Abused
Getting Help: Personal Safety Plan

Remember to check back because we're constantly adding to and updating this content. And if you need to talk to a licensed mental health professional we can help you as well.
