Individual Mental Health Therapy
Individual mental health therapy includes a face-to-face session with one of
our mental health professionals.The focus is on helping you to feel better,
overcome mental health related issues, and be better emotionally adjusted.
We will set measurable treatment goals with you and record those goals in
your personalized treatment plan. Then we'll make sure that we do our part in
helping you reach those goals.
We use a variety of techniques in these sessions but our primary therapy
technique is Cognitive-Behavioral therapy. We also use Solution Focused therapy.
We also utilize a unique set of brief therapy interventions that includes the
"Axis-One method", forming a mnemonic
“CHANGES”, which defines the approach taken in treatment (and changes is what it
is all about):

Unless a patient is in crisis or nearing discharge,
most sessions are held at 1-week intervals, and usually for one hour but
individual circumstances vary.
